Capturing the heArt of the Heartland

Hi, I’m Amanda Griffey, 7th generation farmer, farm wife, and artist.

Farming and ranching does more than put food on the table and fiber on our backs. It teaches work ethic and stewardship, honors heritage, family, and community, and grows faith. It’s a rich and beautiful lifestyle that connects us to the land, animals, each other, and God. My art illustrates these values through scenes that I find in my everyday life like rolling fields, children at play, and livestock. It is my way of capturing the heART of the Heartland from an insider’s persepctive and sharing it with the rest of the world.

“I purchased this original from Amanda right before we moved. I remember thinking it was expensive…But it is easily worht every penny. This picture does not do the art justice. It’s the perfect reminder of home.
